Surplus Food Control

The Savour platform empowers store employees with actionable recommendations to efficiently manage near-expired products and minimize food waste. Here's how it works:

  • Optimized Discounts: The platform suggests the ideal discount rate and enables employees to print discount stickers, encouraging quick sales directly in-store.

  • Mystery Food Packs: Employees can create curated Mystery Food Packs with near-expired items, which are then sold on the Savour Marketplace, reaching local customers eager for great deals.

  • Donation Guidance: When selling isn't an option, the platform identifies suitable donation opportunities, ensuring the food goes to those in need instead of being wasted.

By seamlessly integrating these solutions, the Savour platform helps stores maximize revenue, reduce waste, and contribute to a more sustainable community. It's a win for the business, customers, and the planet!

Mystery Food Packs

The Savour app is the world’s largest marketplace for surplus food, offering an innovative solution to reduce waste. Sell your unsold food as 'Surprise Bags,' allowing local users to pick them up in-store at a time you choose.

Mystery food packs are priced at 25-50% of their original retail value, helping you generate revenue from surplus food while attracting new customers to your store. Customers save money, you increase foot traffic and profit, and together, we take a step toward a more sustainable planet—a win-win for everyone!

Minimize household waste

The "use by" date on household food products is a critical indicator of safety rather than quality. It signifies the last day a product is safe to consume, as per the manufacturer’s guidelines, provided it has been stored correctly. Unlike "best before" dates, which focus on food quality, "use by" dates are about preventing health risks. Consuming food past this date can pose safety concerns, especially for perishable items like dairy, meat, and seafood. To minimize waste, plan meals carefully, store food properly, and freeze items you can't use before the "use by" date. Always prioritize safety over extending food usage.
